Greetings from the IPA Gibraltar Section!
We have had an interesting year with lots of challenges, as I am sure many other sections have had to endure as a result of the pandemic.
At the beginning of lockdown earlier in the year in Gibraltar, the IPA Committee got together and began a refurbishment of our beautiful club which included painting the place top to toe, and lots of garden maintenance work being carried out.
We re-opened in late July with restrictions on capacity, and we decided to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the IPA by hosting various charity events raising money for local charities who have suffered a lack of funding as a direct result of the pandemic.
These charities included Cancer Relief Gibraltar, for whom we raised £1300, and the Animals In Need Foundation, for whom we have raised £2400!
We have also held events for Gibraltar Samaritans who were very grateful for some much-needed publicity, raising awareness of the fantastic work they carry out for the Community of Gibraltar.
We wish all of our brothers and sisters in the association our very best for the Holiday Season and pray you all stay safe and well.
Servo Per Amikeco,
Craig Philbin, President IPA Gibraltar
